Residential Revolution – What’s in a Name?

The name of this blog isn’t meant to be trite – it is intended to be a call to action. Revolution, per Webster’s Dictionary definition, is meant to be a “fundamental change designed to effect the socioeconomic situation.”
In 2009, McKinsey issued a report titled “Unlocking Energy Efficiency in the US Economy.” The executive summary cites that $1.2 trillion in the U.S. is unnecessarily incurred by utilities due to inefficient building practices. It cites, because utility bills are the second largest monthly cost, inefficiencies can double the monthly utility bills in homes and businesses.
