Q: What are some great outdoor activities for families that are near Charlotte?

A: Charlotte offers very mild weather, allowing residents to enjoy outdoor activities almost all year! For families who want to do it all, the U.S. National Whitewater Center offers both land and water activities. Another way to take in the beautiful scenery of Charlotte is the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. With over 380 acres, nature trails and educational programs, there’s sure to be something that your family will enjoy.

 

Q: Where’s the best local spot to grab a cup of joe?

A: Amelies Bakery is the best place for coffee here in Charlotte. They use locally roasted coffee beans and strive for a simple, delicious brew. Their French style pastries are a delicious added bonus!

 

 

Q: What is Charlotte best known for?

A: Charlotte is most notably home to NASCAR, however, we are also home to the Carolina Panthers and the Charlotte Hornets. If you prefer art to sports, Charlotte also features the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center for musicals and live performances.

 

Q: If hiking trails, parks and baseball fields are important factors for families looking to move to Charlotte, which Meritage Home community is best for them?
